  1. Reported by C. Trent Rosencrans…

ARREDONDO SUSPENDED: Reds Triple-A pitcher Jose Arredondo has been suspended.

Louisville Bats manager Jim Riggleman discussed the suspension with Matt Andrews, voice of the Bats, on Saturday’s pregame show (Sports Radio 790 WKRD):

“We have basic rules, he violated one of those rules, we decided a suspension was warranted. I talked to my bosses in Cincinnati and this is what they came up with. He’ll be away from us maybe 10 days to two weeks. He’ll be working out, in uniform, somewhere, but it will be a while.”
