Pedro Villarreal got no decision as he went 5 IP and allowed 5 R on 7 H and 1 BB with 6 K. Kevin Whelan got the win allowing 0 R over 0.2 IP of relief. Yohan Pino picked up his 3rd save with 0.2 IP of scoreless relief.

Daniel Renken got no decision as he went 5 IP and allowed 6 R on 7 H and 1 BB with 6 K. Chris Manno (1.2 IP), Lee Hyde (1 IP), and Loek Van Mil (2 IP) each added scoreless relief outings. Brian Pearl got the win with 2 IP of scoreless relief.

Johnny Cueto got the win as he went 5 IP and allowed 0 R on 3 H and 0 BB with 4 K. Jesus Adames added 2 IP of scoreless relief. Ben Klimesh recorded his 2nd save by coming in to strike out the final batter.

  1. Winker is an interesting prospect. He looks like a potential middle of the order guy in a few years, I can’t wait to see how he develops.

  2. It doesn’t look like Arredondo has worked out his control problems. Does that mean–gulp–that when Parra’s rehab assignment is complete we could see him back (not) getting out lefties for the Redlegs?
