Felix Perez went 3 for 4 with a 2B. Neftali Soto went 2 for 2 with a 2B, a BB, and a SB.

Todd Redmond, 3.63 ERA, got the loss as he went 2 IP and allowed 6 R on 5 H and 3 BB with 3 K. Jordan Smith added 1 IP of scoreless relief.

AA

Tennessee 7 – Pensacola 3 (15 Innings)

Bryson Smith went 3 for 5 with a 3B. Beau Mills went 2 for 7 with 2 2B. Josh Fellhauer went 2 for 5 with 2 BB. Donald Lutz went 2 for 6 with a BB. Mark Fleury walked 3 times.

Chad Rogers, 1.99 ERA, got no decision as he went 5.2 IP and allowed 2 R on 5 H and 1 BB with 8 K. Wilkin De La Rosa (1 IP), Justin Freeman (2 IP), and Curtis Partch (2 IP) each added scoreless relief outings. Michael Griffin took the loss allowing 4 R over 2 IP of relief.

High A

Bakersfield 10 – Rancho Cucamonga 5

Dominic D’Anna went 3 for 4 with a HR. Travis Mattair went 1 for 3 with a 2B and a BB. Stephen Hunt went 3 for 4 with a 2B. Devin Lohman went 2 for 5 with a 2B and 2 SB.

Stalin Gerson, 6.30 ERA, got the win as he went 5 IP and allowed 1 R on 5 H and 0 BB with 5 K. Daniel Wolford added 2 IP of scoreless relief.

Low A

West Michigan 6 – Dayton 4

Taylor Wrenn went 2 for 4. Junior Arias homered. Jefry Sierra doubled.

Robert Stephenson, 4.19 ERA, got the loss as he went 4 IP and allowed 5 R, 3 ER, on 9 H and 1 BB with 1 K. Sean Lucas added 2 IP of scoreless relief.

Rookie

Billings 6 – Missoula 4

Beau Amaral and Jesse Winker each went 2 for 5 with a 2B. Daniel Pigott went 1 for 3 with a HR and a BB. Julio Morillo went 2 for 4.

Joel Bender, 6.75 ERA, got the win as he went 6 IP and allowed 0 R on 3 H and 1 BB with 4 K. Matt Wiley picked up his 9th save despite allowing 1 R over 1.1 IP of relief.

AZL Reds – Season Completed

The AZL Reds finished the season last in the AZL Central with a 18 – 38 record and 16.5 games back of first place. Jonathan Reynoso was the Red’s lone player named to the 2012 Arizona League All-Star Team. Reynoso, a 19 year old RH hitting OF, hit .311/.328/.411/.739 in 190 AB with 30 SB.

  1. You didn’t mention that some aging prospect named Votto was 1/3 with a HR.

    Joey will play with Louisville today in their fional game of the season then report back to the Reds.

    Per the Enquirer’s coverage, he has been declared physically ready” and was was given the choice of where to play today based on his personal assessment of his readiness to play at the MLB level.
