Doing a 2009 wrapup/pre-ST interview next week with our other Spotlight Player, Logan Parker and am soliciting questions from our readers to put to Logan.
Remember, these guys are our friends and our guests and I attempt to treat them as such, thus won’t ask questions that will potentially cause them problems with the organization.
Remember, we are not journalists (and don’t pretend to be)…we’re fans with some access.

What a softy. Won’t ask the hard questions!
Has he done anything differently this offseason than in previous offseasons, in terms of preparation?
hes done something this off season that he should have done sooner like getting his eyes checked . come to find out he has sever stigmatisum got that fixed over christmas cant wait to see what that might change looking forward to spring training
What are his plans after baseball (which frankly could be April 2010)?
I’m curious about the stolen base attempts. He attempted 14 steals in 2007 (swiped 13!) only 4 tries in 2008, but back with double-digit attempts in 2009. Is that aggressiveness/style of the manager? Would he typically attempt 10-20 a year, but was hampered by a leg in jury in 2008?
I’m also interested to hear about his fielding in the outfield. How has that transition gone? Baseball-reference has him with 17 games in LF and 4 games in RF. Did he feel better in one corner over the other? Does he know yet if the Reds plans are to have him in the outfield, 1B, or splitting time again?
I know he has player in the field some. But what other positions could he see himself getting an opportunity since there’s a log jam at 1st?
@Mark in CC: Be nice.
Mark Im sure if Logan were to read this he would want to tell you to take a hike (but not that nice). He is chasing his dream and just because he had a down year doesnt me he is done for life. Look at his numbers and this past season was the only year he had a tough time. I would like to know if some of that had to do with moving to the outfield. So for guys like Mark, I will say take it easy on a kid who had a tough year, doesnt mean he is done.. Mark you are the reason that Matt Klinker said that players dont really read this stuff.
What does he prefer, playing in the OF or 1st base ?
In terms of his development as a player, what is his highest priority for this year ?
