Titanic Struggle Recap

Time for a recap of tonight’s titanic struggle….

FINAL — 12 innings
Los Angeles 3
Cincinnati 2
WP: McDonald (4-3)
LP: Cordero (2-4)
S: Broxton (29)
BOX SCORE

POSITIVES
–Bronson Arroyo was very good, once again. Seven and a third innings, two runs on six hits. Can’t ask for much more than that.

–Darnell McDonald! Darnell hit a two run homer in the second that accounted for all of the Reds scoring. Who’s making up the Darnell/sombrero photoshop?

NEGATIVES
–TOS*

–The bullpen was pretty strong until an exhausted CoCo came in and threw another 33 pitches, losing the game in the process. The guy needs a week off.

–Joey Votto was 0-5, and struck out four times. Never good to get a golden sombrero. A couple of good games aside, Votto hasn’t been very good lately. I still wish the Reds had 7 other Vottos on the team.

ETC.
–Oh well, with today’s loss, the Redlegs have no chance at 90 wins this season.

–That’s two losses in a row. Perhaps the Reds can get two wins in a row tomorrow, as they hook up with the Pirates in a day/night doubleheader (I hate those).
