I was wondering just how many good weeks Willy Taveras has had this season — it just feels like he’s had about three excellent weeks and 15 godawful ones. I was pretty close. Only thing I didn’t realize was that he’s actually been okay the past two or three weeks.
As you can see, Willy’s had two great weeks, four okay ones, and eight abysmal weeks.
(Plate appearance totals are more or less similar, except he only had seven PAs in one of his amazing .000 weeks.)

Holy Mother, it looks like a picture of the Grand Canyon.
this reminds me of that battle tanks game where you have tanks and try to shoot each other from different sides of the mountain. It’s sad how low it goes and how long it stays there
And those aren’t cumulative. He had a .138 (AVG) week, followed by a .158 week, followed by a .000 week, followed by a .000 week, followed by a .143 week.
I honestly wonder if there’s EVER been a streak of futility that long.
That middle stretch Chris is pointin out has to be the worst by a regularly playing outfielder in a long time. And he is not even playing good defense to compensate.
and he is leading off
