Triple – A

Gwinnett 6 – Louisville 3

Kevin Barker went 1-3 with a homerun and 2 runs scored in a game in which the Bats mustered just 4 base hits and lost in extra innings.  The homerun was Barker’s 11th of the season and was a solo shot in the 8th inning.

Robert Manuel picked up the loss in relief and fell to 3-3 on the season.  Manuel allowed 3 runs on 3 hits while striking out 2 in 2 innings of work.

Double – A

Tennessee 8 – Carolina 6

Eric Eymann, Chris Denove, and Jose Castro each had 2 hits for the Mudcats.  Castro had a double, 2 runs scored, and an rbi.  Denove doubled and scored a run.  Finally, Eymann had 2 singles, scored a run, and drove in a run.  

Alexander Smit allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in just 1.1 innings pitched to pick up the loss and fall to 2-2 on the season.  

Class A Advanced

Sarasota had a scheduled day off.

Single – A

Dayton 7 – West Michigan 6

Byron Wiley homered and drove in 4 rbis in a 1-4 game to lead the Dragons to a 1-run victory.  Michael Konstanty raised his average to .318 on the season by going 2-3 with a triple and 2 runs scored. 

Lance Janke improved to 3-3 on the season with the win.  Janke allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk while striking out 10 batters in 6 innings of work.
