Redleg Nation Player of the Month – April 2009

Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Player of the Month for April, Joey Votto.

Could there have been any other choice? Votto hit .346 with an on-base percentage of .411 and a slugging percentage of .568. He hit 3 homers and drove in 20 RBI, second only to Albert Pujols in that category. In addition, Votto added 9 doubles and 7 walks.

Most importantly, it seemed like Votto came through every single time the Reds really needed a run, and he was the unquestioned leader of this team from day one.

Congratulations, Joey Votto!
