I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rodriguez toss another gem against the impotent Cincinnati offense, but I always feel better when Harang is taking the mound. Don’t you?
Another item to discuss: what does Adam Rosales have to do to earn a promotion to the majors? He went 2-4 again today, he’s hitting well over .400 (leading hitter in the IL), and his OPS is off-the-charts.
After setting the game thread to publish, Edwin Encarnacion was sent to the DL (with OPS spasms) and Adam Rosales was called up to take his place on the roster.
EE was already announced as tonight’s starter, so we’ll have to see who takes his place in the lineup. Rosales, wearing #23, will be at GAB for the game, but I’d be surprised if he started. On the other hand, Chris Dickerson isn’t available, so the Reds are playing a man short anyway. My guess is Jerry Hairston, Jr., to 3B and Darnell McDonald to LF. Ugh.

Today’s game is supposed to be in HD. I’m watching the pregame on DirecTV, but nothing shows up on 661-1 (HD) except “Pregame” and no video. Nothing is listed on the HD channel at 7 ET.

Rosales already played one game, and he had to travel to Cincinnati. I don’t have a problem with him not starting today. I’m just disgusted with the guys the Reds are forced to play, like McDonald and Hairston.

My biggest problem with the line-up tonight isn’t Rosales because he might be shot from a game and a drive but why does McDonald play over Janish. Janish will play better third base than Hairston and he did get some time there in the spring.

Janish can’t hit a lick but his.357 BA coming into tonight would put him at the head of the class. That puts him about 70 points higher than McDonald and 200 ahead of Hairston.

Heard Mark Sheldon on the radio coming home from the first night of my golf league. He said Dickerson’s had 4 concussions. Of course, two of them dated back to elementary school. One was when he was dunking on a low hoop and smacked his head into the rim. The other – I kid you not – was when he smacked his head on a tetherball pole.
Dickerson’s not really major league caliber, it appears. But MAN do I like that guy.

As for the CD, it was so awful but addictingly awful that I along with many of my friends in BG would play it at parties in the middle of night just for laughs and what not, anyway i lost that along the road of life as well and cant seem to find it anywhere online, unfortunate.

Jimmy, my understanding was that WLW’s shelf life on XM was always limited. Something about CC forcing the sat companies to carry some of their programming, in exchange for getting other content. I’m not recalling any of the particulars right, but I remember it being a limited time deal.
