Triple – A
Louisville 7 – Columbus 6
The Bats scored 2-runs in the top of the 9th inning to erase a 1-run deficit and turn the game into a 1-run victory. Luis Bolivar led the charge for the Bats by going 3-4 and was a homerun shy of the cycle. Bolivar scored 3 runs and drove in a run. Chris Valaika went 2-4 in the game with 2 doubles, a walk, and a run batted in. Wes Bankston hit a solo homerun, his 2nd homer of the season, and went 2-4 in the contest.

Sam Lecure started and picked up a no-decision. Sam allowed 4 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings of work. He struck out 2. Pedro Viola picked up the win by pitching a scoreless inning of relief.

Double – A
Carolina 12 – Huntsville 3
The Mudcats were outhit in this game 11 to 7, but capitalized on 4 Hunstville errors to blow the game away. Juan Francisco and Sean Henry each homered in the game. Juan’s dinger was a 3-run shot, his 2nd of the season. For Sean, his 2-run blast was his 1st homerun of the year. Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Logan Parker went 1-2 in the game with 2 walks. His 1 hit was a triple. Logan also had 3 runs batted in.

Dallas Buck improved to 2-0 on the season by giving up 1 run on 7 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings of work.

Both Dayton and Sarasota had an off-day on Monday

  • Glad to see Valaika have a good game, after a particularly rough start to the season. I want him to heat up and win the SS job in Cincinnati next year.

  • Big night for Logan, his triple was a 3 run job that put the Mudcats in front 4-1. 1-2 with 3 RBIs, a run scored, and 2 walks is a pretty darn good night.

    I agree w you on Valaika, but so far he has looked lost in AAA. I hope last night was a sign to come.
