Toledo 6 – Louisville 5
Adam Rosales went 1-4 with the 1 hit being a homerun. The homerun was Adam’s 2nd of the season and was a 2-run shot in the 7th inning. Chris Valaika went 0-4 at the plate as his early struggles continue. Valaika is now 1-15 to start the season. Kevin Barker and Jonny Gomes each had an rbi and a double in the contest.

Sam Lecure picked up the loss by allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 6 innings of work. Lecure was hurt by the homerun ball as 2 of the 3 hits he allowed were homers. Scott Williamson, former Reds closer, picked up the save for Toledo.

Double – A
Carolina 6 – Mississippi 2
Todd Frazier, Logan Parker, and Sean Henry combined for 9 of the Mudcats’ 11 hits in the contest, contributing 3 apiece. Frazier went 3-5 with a double, rbi, and 2 runs scored. Parker went 3-4 with a homerun, double, run scored, rbi, and a walk. The homerun was Parker’s first of the season. Henry’s 3 hits were all singles, and he added an rbi as well. Chris Heisey had only 1 hit, but the hit was a 2-run homer, his 2nd of the season.

Misael DeJesus pitched well in the start and picked up the win. DeJesus went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4. Sean Watson pitched 2 perfect innings of relief, striking out 3.
