This is good news, even if it could be better:
For the first time, more than half of the Reds’ games will be in high definition on Fox Sports Ohio.
Starting with Opening Day on April 6, FSN Ohio will air 100 of its 145 games in the format.
Last year, 71 of 145 games were in HDTV. FSN Ohio broadcast only 33 games in HDTV in 2007, its first season using the format.
The Reds-Mets Opening Day telecast starts at 1 p.m. April 6.
I want them all to be in HD, but I’ll take what I can get. With DirecTV’s Extra Innings package, many times you can get the other team’s HD broadcast, so even more Reds games will be shown in crystal clear high definition.
It’s like we’re living in the future! Except for the part where I don’t have my flying car yet.

That is AWESOME. As an avowed HD snob, I can’t stand watching anything in standard-def anymore. I can’t wait for the day when all 162 games are shown in HD every year.
Sports not in HD are unwatchable to me anymore.
