Oh man, I remember when I was a kid living in Central NY there was this huge arcade place(wasn’t just arcade games) that had so much stuff to do like putt putt and then there was this exact thing. I remember it had Randy Johnson in it and the San Diego Chicken.
I’d need to see this thing to determine whether I thought it was worth that price. I assume it is used in the inside cages or else the screen would be virtually impossible to see.
So I haven’t seen the one the Reds have installed yet, but going on what other organizations had during spring training last year, this machine is awesome.
Fastballs up to 100 mph, curveballs and sliders at any arm angle and any velocity, change ups, all pitches can be set to random or a particular sequence. But the best feature: it doesn’t get tired.

They have something like this at the Louisville Slugger museum too. Pretty cool!
Some years it would have been our opening day starter.
If we wanted a machine that couldn’t throw breaking balls, we would just trot Homer Bailey out there every day.
Ouch.

There’s my nomination for comment of the month.
