Unfortunately, the title of worst GM may go to Bowden, BUT that is only because Bill Bavasi was fired by Seattle. Sorry, but what team does Bavasi currently work for today? OH…. Right….
Say what anybody wants to say; Bowden has won more here in the last 20 years than anybody elseā¦.gimmicks and all.
Last 16 years since he took over as GM in 1992. Unfortunately saying he has won more is more of an indictment of the ownership/GMs that followed and he left them little.
bowden was good at picking old guys off the scrap heap. every 4th one would turn out to be good and make him a genius.
he has even less margin for error than he had here in cincy, from a financial perspective, and it’s no surprise that he’s even worse there than he was here.
and, yeah, bavasi would have him beat were he still employed.
This all sounds about right Bavasi and Leatherpants are the worst. I won’t say Leatherpants made all bad deals, but he made a bunch that made you sratch your head. He has done nothing worth mentioning in DC either. It is sad Bavasi got hired by Cincy despite his track record.

One thing we can thank Lindner for is the firing of Bowden. Can you imagine still being stuck with that guy?

perhaps bowden has pics of stan kasten?
Sorry, but David’s right. Bavasi works in the house that Bowden built (with Cincy taxpayer money of course).

One hopes that Bavasi is in a role to plays to his strengths (let pray that he has some).
Bowden is like “sunny delight”. He has no real juice.
