He's super fast, sure, but that is SO much less important than being able to get on base and being able to hit the ball. The guy just played a full season with Coors Field as his home park and he slugged .296!! No thanks!! I'd rather hand CF to Drew Stubbs right now than give it to Willy. Also, when looking at Griffey's stats, you have to factor in some decline due to aging, plus an even bigger decline due to a shift to the better league. He's finished as a useful player. He's not great defensively but he's only 22 and was projected as a stud. Maybe a Bailey for Butler swap would make sense. The Royals need good young pitching talent, they have too many 1B in their pipeline and Butler is a RH who projects to 20+ HR power. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
