Perhaps Bruce’s hand still isn’t feeling good…same with Dickerson’s ankle. With how little Dickerson has played lately makes you wonder if the ankle is more serious then they let on.
Either way, time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and the Reds are all out of gum.
With all the young pitchers available, why is Arroyo still in? I would certainly think that the fans would like to see the “youth” as the letter said. I hope that’s it for Arroyo after giving up 6 runs.
Andy Phillips batting cleanup, Hobart batting 5th?
Now I understand. Yonder and Stubbs just weren’t ready. Phillips and Cabrera, now, they’re really ready. Those guys are major-league players. Trust me. I know when I see one.
Texas required that Volquez cut his hair a few years ago, clean up, do certain things. I hope to God that if Maj comes back (hoping he won’t but…) the Reds will require him to CUT THAT UGLY HAIR!!!
That blog entry is really interesting, Jim…maybe the most interesting part is that Dusty doesn’t say anything idiotic and I really agree with all his quotes! Weird!!

That is a spectacularly weak line-up.
Lead off strikeout for Bronson!
Those first two Brewers hitters are pretty sad, too.
Nice start, Bronson!
Nice first inning for Bronson Arroyo. And nice start for Anthony Kim, who is 2-up over Sergio Garcia in the Ryder Cup.
As I said, this is a weak line-up. Hope that wasn’t our best scoring opportunity of the day.
Bengals up 3-0 over the Giants after the first quarter.
6 strikeouts in 3 innings for Bronson!
Along with a Harang-like strike to ball ratio of 30-11.
Fielder 3, Reds 0
Crud. Fielder can mash.
I really wanted a sweep today.
he worked a walk…Daddy D. must be proud
Good to see Todd Coffey. Hope he has success. Always seemed like a good kid, just couldn’t get the job done in Cincinnati.
Looks like Coffey is going to be a good middle reliever for the Brewers
Coffey’s physique certainly fits well into the Brewers’ profile of big people.
Yeah, Coffey, Sabathia, Fielder…heck, even McClung is a big guy.
Whoa! Dolphins beating the Patriots.
and that Nelson guy that PHed yesterday. They must have beer on tap in their clubhouse.
I think Coffey lost like 25 lbs this past off season, although he may have gained it back by now.
Looks like no sweep today unless our speed can bring us back.
and you know who is the fastest!!

and so is Sonny P. says Daddy D.
great, lets give the not so Magic man a chance….he’s a proven mlb pitcher. Stubborn until the end.

” Like I always say, you’re going to win no matter who you send out there” brilliant just brilliant.
Bengals loses a heartbreaker. I really hate the NFL overtime setup.
Interesting blog entry by Hal McCoy
Guess I shouldn’t have mocked the Brewers in the title to this thread.

It was still funny. I could picture Nelson saying it.
The Reds still have a chance to sweep the Marlins series with a win tomorrow!
Ha! That’s true, Phill. I will always take a series sweep, even if its just a one game “series”.
