From CBSSportsline:
With his slumping team down three runs in the sixth inning, Arizona manager Bob Melvin started making notes for a postgame pep talk.
“It didn’t look good early on,” Melvin said. “As a matter of fact, I was drawing up a little speech for after the game.”
The Diamondbacks spared him the trouble, rallying for a 4-3 victory on Adam Dunn’s winning double in the ninth.
Go ahead, fire away…I’m rooting for the Diamondbacks at this point..

I heard that in the middle of the ninth inning Dunn went from the stadium across the street. He then saved a woman, her baby and their puppy dog from a burning building. Then he went back and hit the double.
He’s got to be up to about 5 or 6 game winning hits.
In 11 wins with Arizona, Dunn has 15 game winning hits.
At least you can admit you are a Dunn fan before a Reds fan in rooting for the DBacks. Now if only several of your colleagues would follow suit.
Therefore 4 of them came in games in which he didn’t even play.
Why? Because I continue to follow a player that I believe it was a mistake to trade for mediocre players (and paying $2M for the privledge) rather than spend the rest of the season following a franchise that flails around with no apparent plan for success?
Concerning the Reds, I’ve moved to Missouri, the “SHOW ME” state.
Have you (David or others) quit watching/rooting for other teams in September and October the past 13 years? Or do you continue watching baseball and find another team to root for?
I’m rooting for the Reds team, but I’m also rooting for Dunn or Griffey to win a WS ring. I can root for it all.
I’m pretty sure Dunn got back to the dugout after that hit and performed the Heimlich on Melvin, who had choked on his sunflower seeds when Dunn hit the double.
Go Diamondbacks!
Watch the WS be the Diamondbacks vs the White Sox, and then Dunn and Griffey go 0-fer the series LOL.
