Louisville 8 – Columbus 5

Danny Richar went 3-4, hitting a homerun and 2 doubles while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2.  The 2 doubles gives Danny 20 on the season and the homerun was his 11th.  Drew Stubbs and Drew Anderson each went 2-3 with a run scored and an rbi.

Matt Maloney improved to 11-4 with the win.  Matt allowed 5 runs on 10 hits in 7 innings pitched.  He struck out 4 and now has a 4.35 ERA on the season.

Tennessee 10 – Chattanooga 1

Danny Dorn supplied the offense for the Lookouts by going 3-4 with a solo homerun.  The homerun gives Dorn 21 on the season.  Sean Henry also had a multi-hit game, going 2-4 for the Lookouts.

Travis Wood fell to 3-9 with Chattanooga by giving up all 10 runs in 3.2 innings pitched.  Wood gave up 4 in the 3rd inning and 6 in the 4th inning.  The 10 runs were scored on 12 hits and 2 walks by Wood.  Wood’s ERA at double-A is a dismal 7.54.

Sarasota 7 – Tampa 0; final 7

In game 1 of the double header, Misael DeJesus pitched 5 shutout innings, scattering 5 hits and walking 1 while striking out 7 to improve to 5-4 on the season. 

Dan Perales went 2-3 with a homerun and 2 rbis.  The homerun gives Dan 3 on the season.  Yuber Rodriguez went 2-3 with a run scored and 3 batted in.

Tampa 3 – Sarasota 0; final 7

In game 2 of the double dip, Tampa returned the shutout.  Jason Louwsma went 1-3 with a double.  The Reds managed just 3 hits as a team.

Logan Ondrusek picked up the loss, falling to 1-6.  Ondrusek gave up 3 runs on 6 hits and a walk in 4.2 innings pitched.

West Michigan 4 – Dayton 2

Neftali Soto provided the offense for the Dragons by going 2-4 with a homerun and 2 rbis.  The homerun was Soto’s 5th of the season for Dayton.  Keltavious Jones and  Michael McKennon each had 2 hits.

Curtis Partch picked up the loss by giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and a walk in 5 innings pitched.  He struck out only 1.  Partch’s record falls to 5-10 on the season and his ERA is now 4.82.

Missoula 13 – Billings 3

Michael Konstanty went 2-4, scoring 2 of the Mustangs 3 runs.  Billings was outhit 17-8 in the game.

The pitching was just bad. 

GCL Red Sox 2 – GCL Reds 0; final 7

Petr Cech had 2 of the Reds 5 hits.  Cech went 2-3 and is now batting .235.

Tyler Cline gave up a run in the first inning and picked up the loss.  Cline went just 2 innings, giving up the 1 run on 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2.

GCL Red Sox 10 – GCL Reds 2; final 7

Samuel Vaszquez went 2-3 with a double and 2 rbis to supply all of the Reds offense in the 2nd loss of the day.

Michael Henry went 1.2 innings in the start, allowing 7 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks to fall to 1-4 on the season.
