If anyone is still paying attention, Jerry Hairston, Jr., went back on the disabled list (surprise!). Hope this doesn’t keep Dusty Baker from convincing Reds management to sign Hairston to a long-term contract in the off-season.

Adam Rosales was recalled from AAA Louisville, which is a shame. I like Rosales, and I think he’s going to be a decent pro (love his bat), but the Bats have a chance to clinch the IL West title tonight, and poor Rosales has to be in Chicago helping the Reds inch toward the 90-loss mark (only 19 to go!).

Also, David Ross cleared waivers and was released, but at least we still have Paul Bako and his .213 batting average!

Enjoy the game!

For what it is worth, it’s more of a “newbie” line-up tonight. Hanigan instead of Bako, Cabrerra instead of Patterson

Funny enough Cabrera is much older than Patterson.

    Hope Arroyo brings his A-game.

So far a miserable game from a miserable team.

The Cards tv people, doing a wrap on the recent series, said that of course the Cards have to beat a team like the Reds if they expect to stay in the wild card race. Tonight on a Chicago sports station, the attitude was that since it is the Reds, the game will be over early as the Reds are just mailing it in at this point.

  • Arroyo is painful to watch. This game is moving at a snail’s pace.

Reds with a chance to score after the Hanigan double. Best hitter to do it is at the plate – Arroyo.

Let’s hope Ross ends up on a playoff team as well.

That bites for Rosales. Call up someone from Chattanooga. There going the same place as the Reds – nowhere.

It’s about there only hope of scoring. How many days after the end of the season until Jacoby gets canned?

Arroyo over 100 pitches and he hasn’t imploded, exploded, or otherwise self-destructed yet.

Call me a diehard, but I love beating the Cubs any time. Nicest close by Coco all season.

PS Junior had a big day today.

Guess this will teach the Cubs to be less cocky.

  • I can’t believe Arroyo won that game.

Pitching positive tonight. Best win of the year in a disappointing season.

There is nothing better than beating the Cubs. I remember watching a game on WGN where the arrogant announcers were talking about how the Reds were struggling and how great the Cubs were. The Reds came back late and won the game. I would have loved to have seen their faces.

I heard tonight that the last time the Cubs were in the series gas was .12/gal. They will always have that attitude.

Nice pitching tonight by both teams. Thom can’t figure out why fans grab their chests in agony everytime Weathers comes into the game. Funny stuff.

Dunn Watch – 3-run HR, 2 BB, 2 runs scored

Dunn just accounted for more offense than we’ve seen since he left.

On ESPN they had a feature on how much Dunn has improved the DBacks run production. And look at our offense without him.
