Stubbs could be interesting next year if he hits the last couple weeks at AAA. I can’t imagine they’d hand a job to him (or Frazier), but if this team finds power elsewhere, I could live with .260/.360/.400, plus-speed, and Gold Glove defense in CF. It’s an unusual profile, but it could work. Fukudome, Randy Winn, and Giles (now) have comparable lines, but lack the defense.
Marty sure would sure bitch about the strikeouts, though.
Homer-A friend of mine that works in minor league baseball told me that the Reds have totally screwed up Homer Bailey. They were so concerned with how fast his delivery was that they completely changed the way he throws and has lost about six MPH on his fast ball (which would explain the drop in velocity). He doesn’t think he can be salvaged in his opinion. I don’t know who’s idea that was, but he should be fired.
He may have lost mph earlier in the year but corrections have return him to 94-96 mph. The K’s are up but he still has to develop MLB-quality breaking pitches and off-speed pitches that he can control.

See Crawford is down for 4 to 6 weeks for Tampa Bay. Let’s trade them Corey Patterson.
No way he’d clear waivers, with hsi speed and defense.
Maybe if we’re lucky Jim Bowden would block the trade and we would say take him
Hey, Dave, don’t forget his power.
Nice touch with the “After Dunn”. Oh wow. Bases loaded ground rule double. This team is horrendous.
Dusty specializes in the 1-batter-too-late pitching change.
Can a brother get an effective pitcher?
haha, that’s true. Think we can come up with some kind of stat dealing with the 1-batter-too-late pitching change? He is the king.
Stubbs 2 for 4 with a HR in his Louisville debut.
Homer was mediocre. 6.1 innings, 6 K’s, 3 BB, 107 pitches. Keep working.
