Redleg Nation wants to send its thoughts and prayers to the family of ex-Reds manager Dave Miley.
Dave’s 17 year old son, Cody, was killed in a car wreck yesterday in the Tampa area.
As someone with a 17 year old son and someone who has a friend that recently lost his 17 year old daughter in a car wreck, I can’t even imagine what this family is going through.
All I know is I’ll be sending my thoughts and prayers to the Miley family, counting my blessings, and hugging my son tonight.
and as someone with a 19-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son, my heart goes out to the Miley family.

I just looked at both the Enquirer and Dayton Daily News web sites and see no mention of this terrible news. What a sad state of the Cincinnati Reds media.
This is terrible news, I hope Dave and family get a ton of support from friends and his baseball associates. He did a lot for the Reds, I hope someone from the organization reaches out to him.
I’ve got a 5 year old daughter and a 1 year old son and the thought of losing one of them is the most terrifying thing imaginable. Every parents worst nightmare. My thoughts and prayers are with the Mileys and if the Reds media doesn’t issue some kind of press release offering condolences they ought to be ashamed of themselves…so far nothing on the official site.
