Let’s face it everybody! The DOTF reports are more vital nowadays than the game threads! Of course I would be hesitant to get attached or follow too many of the names mentioned. I type this wearing my newly purchased Brooklyn Dodgers hat (I’m still bitter for what it’s worth, my apologies).
Michael Griffin went 2-5 with a double, run scored, and an rbi. Shaun Cumberland was 2-5 with a double.
Matt Belisle picked up the win in relief by pitching a scoreless 9th inning. Belisle gave up 1 hit. Matt is now 5-1 in Louisville with a 4.34 ERA.
Chattanooga Lookouts
The Lookouts were off.
Logan Parker went 3-4 and raised his average to .360 in Sarasota. Parker’s line is now .360/.426/.584 in Sarasota. Juan Francisco went 2-4 with a homerun, double, run scored, and 2 rbis. Francisco is now batting .277/.301/.494 with 21 homeruns and 87 batted in.
Misael DeJesus improved to 4-4 with the win. DeJesus gave up 1 unearned run on 4 hits and 4 walks while striking out 6.
Zach Cozart went 3-5 with a homerun, 2 runs scored, and 2 rbis. The homerun was Cozart’s 13th of the season.
Starter Josh Ravin was roughed up, but Mace Thurman turned in a great relief performance. Thurman pitched 4.1 perfect innings, striking out 7!
Carlos Mendez went 2-4 with a double and 3 runs batted in. David Sappelt went 3-4 with 2 runs scored.
Josh Beal pitched well in relief despite the team loss. Beal pitched 2 scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit and a walk while striking out 5.
