Durham 2 – Louisville 0

The Bats offense managed 0 runs, 4 hits, and struck out a combined 7 times.

Starter Justin Mallett pitched decent.  Mallett gave up 2 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings pitched.  He struck out 4.  Tyler Pelland threw an inning in relief, striking out the side while allowing a hit.  Matt Belisle also pitched an inning in relief, striking out 2 and allowing a hit.

Mississippi 9 – Chattanooga 0

The Lookouts offense managed 0 runs, 5 hits, and struck out a combined 8 times.

Travis Wood was beaten and battered in this one.  Wood gave up 8 runs on 8 hits and 5 walks in 5 innings of work.  The outing raised Wood’s ERA to a lofty 6.58 on the season in AA Chattanooga.  What happened to the pitcher that had a 2.70 ERA in Single A earlier this season?

Sarasota Reds

The Reds were off on Sunday

Kane County 9 – Dayton 3

Kane County scored 6 runs in 1.2 innings by Daniel Guerrero.  And that as they say is that.  Guerrero also allowed 7 hits and walked 2.  His ERA in Dayton is now 7.04.

Devin Mesoraco went 2-4, hitting a solo homerun.  The homerun was Devin’s 7th of the season.  Michael McKennon also went 2-4, driving in a run.

Great Falls 8 – Billings 4

Great Falls scored all 8 of their runs in the first 4 innings and cruised to victory.  Oscar Castro gave up 6 of those runs on 8 hits and a walk in 3 innings pitched.

Michael Konstanty went 1-4, hitting his 3rd homerun of the season and driving in 3.
