Reds Trivia 7/22/08

February 8, 1961: Frank Robinson is arrested on a concealed weapons charge for carrying a .25 caliber pistol, which he brandished at an employee at the Sixty Second Restaurant on the corner of Reading Road and Florence Avenue in Cincinnati where Robinson was eating with two friends. He was later fined $250 during a court appearance.

Robinson matured almost overnight, and set out to redeem himself on the baseball field. In 1961, he became the clubhouse leader and won the NL MVP award. He batted .323 with 37 homers, 124 RBIs, and 117 runs scored, and 32 doubles.
