Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month — June 2008

It’s time, once again, to announce the Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month for June, 2008.

Hitter: Drew T. Anderson, Louisville (AAA)

Anderson, a 27-year-old outfielder from Nebraska had an outstanding June, the best of any Reds minor league hitter. For the month, Anderson hit .349, with 8 doubles, 3 triples, 3 HR, and 23 RBI. His OBP was .403 and his SLG was .560. Great month, Drew!

Honorable Mention: Zach Cozart, Dayton (A) (.309/.353/.606, 7 doubles, 3 triples, 5 HR in 23 games)

Pitcher: Sam Lecure, Chattanooga (AA)

24-year-old Sam Lecure, the pride of Jefferson City, MO, was simply spectacular in June. Lecure compiled a 4-1 record with a 1.73 ERA, 31 K and 10 BB in 36.1 IP. Good stuff.

Congratulations to Anderson and Lecure!
