More on Junior Griffey’s 600th HR

If you haven’t already, you really should check out all the coverage Ken Griffey’s historic 600th home run over at the Enquirer. I count no fewer than nine articles, and they’re all worth at least a scan.

My favorite quote comes from Adam Dunn: “It was very cool,” Adam Dunn said. “But it would have been a lot cooler if it was in front of a packed house like it should have been. It was kind of like hitting it at Ed Smith (Reds spring training home).”

Indeed.

Probably a similar crowd to when the Babe hit 714.

As an Ed Smith regular, and observer of several Jr. HR’s at Ed Smith, I take offense. Twice as many people attend Reds ST games than Marlins’ regular season games. Dunner, you know that.
