Game Thread: Reds at Mets — 2008.05.09

The Reds visit Shea Stadium to play the Metropolitans tonight, kicking off a grueling three-game road trip.

Is this year’s schedule the strangest one you’ve ever seen? Earlier, we had back-to-back two-game series’, and now we have a three-game homestand followed by an equally short road trip. Bizarre.

Either way, the Reds need a good outing from Matt Belisle to get this series started the right way. Discuss it here….

I’m not quite ready to get on the Bailey bandwagon, but, geez, I hope he hurries up and grows up down there in Louisville. Then we can trade Belisle for a draft pick.

Not to mention the high number of day games we seemed to have played already this season. This schedule has been wacky.

Someone please explain why Patterson is batting third. Dusty is an idiot.

Patterson’s batting third? Looks like I’ll be watching the Penguins…

why, why, why? I know this topic has been discussed to death, but if Dunn can be 6th and Kepp 7th, why does CPatt have to bat high in the order? Is his ego that fragile? I just don’t get it.

  • Patterson third? I hope the game gets rained out.

    That’s just ridiculous.

  • I’ve never been happier for a rainout.
