Richmond 9 – Louisville 1

Andy Green and Chris Dickerson were both 2 for 4 with a couple of singles each.

Matt Maloney is off to a rough start at AAA Louisville. His ERA after this poor start is at 7.24. He went 4.1 IP giving up 5 R, 7 H, and 3 BB while getting 4 K. Gary Majewski and Scott Sauerbeck each added a scoreless inning of relief.

AA

Mississippi 6 – Chattanooga 4

Tonys Gutierrez went 4 for 4 with a 2B and a BB. Craig Tatum was 3 for 4. Jerry Gil went 2 for 5 with a 2B. B. J. Szymanski is still hot, going 2 for 4.

Daryl Thompson, the Redleg Nation Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April, had yet another strong start. Thompson went 6 IP allowing 3 R, 1 ER, 5 H, 1 BB with 6 K.

High A

Tampa 8 – Sarasota 0

Chris Valaika was 2 for 4 with a 2B.

Rafael Gonzalez went 3 IP giving up 6 R, 5 ER on 5 H and 3 BB while striking out two. Ruben Medina, Misael DeJesus, and Ramon Geronimo all had scoreless relief outings.

Low A

Dayton 3 – Burlington 1

Denis Phipps was 2 for 4 with two 2B. Keltavious Jones went 2 for 4 with a 2B. Jason Bour was 2 for 3. Brandon Waring, April’s Redleg Nation Minor League Hitter of the Month, added a 2B.

Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Matt Klinker got the win, coming on in the 2nd inning in relief of David Weathers, who pitched a scoreless first inning in a rehab assignment. Klinker lowered his ERA to 2.49, going 7 IP while giving up 1 R on 5 H and no BB while recording 6 K. Tyler Rhoden gets his first save with a scoreless 9th inning.
