Reds Dare Dunn to Defy Laws of Physics

Last week, the [Reds] placed a red 2008 Toyota Tundra pickup truck on top of the elevator shaft well beyond the fence in center field. If a Reds player hits the truck during a home run, one randomly selected lucky fan will take home the $31,000 vehicle.

“boobs” at Red Reporter (who apparently has a real name – Rick Newkirk) investigates the situation, and learned that The truck is 502 feet from home plate, and 65 feet up in the air.  RR asked the guy from Hit Tracker, who sets out all the math on the thing.  As he says, the van “might as well be on the moon…”

The Reds say they’re going to give the truck away at the end of the season, regardless.  Probably just as well they put it out of harm’s way.  Check out the report – very funny and informative.
