While we’re discussing the only topic that seems to be on the minds of Reds fans — the search for a new manager — I thought I’d point to this post by Jeff over at Redlegs Rundown, in which he looks at some of the potential candidates.
Why are we talking about a new manager while we are still playing in October? Heck, since we resigned Dunn after the All Star break and we have the best bullpen in baseball and just swept the Cubs to win the divisional series you would think that our fans would be happy. And what about all the free parking, the “Easy Going Marty” bobblehead giveaway, Junior breaking Aaron’s record and Schottzie VII throwing out the first pitch, we really have nothing to complain about…. then of course there is the pink fairies giving out cotton candy at gate 3, …..ahhhh….I’ve offically lost all perspective….like Marty would ever be “easy going”…….I think I like my world better. Bases loaded, Phillips at the plate….play ball, delusional fantasies…just play ball…
wow man i know what you mean
those fairies are creepy
anyways
reds baseball is getting depressing
i am almost getting sick of watching them
my brothers swore never to go to another game since the casey trade (they loved him)
but recently they got free tickets so they went
and were dissapointed
because all they saw was the loulsville bats play the astros
and my one of my brothers said he refused to buy food cause he didnt want to spend five bucks on a piece of pizza and 3 bucks on a pop
so they were misrable
the only one from my family who had a good time was my nephew and hes 2!

I thank if Joe Torre loses his job with the Yankees, Good ol Bob should try to get him, he a really good manager.

we need torre
I don’t know that Torre is all that great, but he may be the best available.
ESPN.com is reporting that Dusty Baker will be the Reds manager (signed for 3 years).
