Louisville 3 – Indianapolis 1

Paul Janish went 4-5, newcomer Buck Coats went 2-4 for the second night in a row, Jesse Gutierrez was 2-4.

Victor Santos threw 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits, walking 1, striking out 6. Todd Coffey threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing 1 hit, striking out 4.

AA

Chattanooga 3 – West Tennessee 1

Drew Anderson was 2-5 with a double, drove in the 2 winning runs in the 9th and had a SB.

Sam Lecure threw 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, walking 3 and striking out 6. Rick Aasdoorian threw a scoreless inning and Carlos Gueverra threw 2 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit and a walk, and had a rare instance that he didn’t strike out any hitters.
High A

Sarasota 5 – Tampa 4 (10 innings)

Chris Valaika was 3-5, Justin Turner was 2-5, Josh Holden was 2-3 with a walk.

Dan Denham threw 3 no hit innings, allowing a walk and striking out 3 in relief. Ruben Medina got the win, throwing 2 hitless innings of relief, striking out one.

Low A

South Bend 3 – Dayton 2

Dayton only collected 3 hits on the night, one each by Cozart (triple), Rodriguez, and Frazier.

Rafael Gonzalez had a strong start for the Dragons, throwing 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and a walk, while striking out 2. Ramon Geronimo threw 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing 2 hits and striking out one.

Rookie Leagues

Helena 11 – Billings 7

Brandon Waring continued his incredible hot streak, going 2-5 with another homer (20 on the season, 10 in last 10 games), driving in 3 runs. Michael Jones was also 2-5 with a homer.

Not a good night for Mustang pitchers as the only one that didn’t give up a run only threw 2/3 of an inning.
