Bring Back Barry!

I miss this guy. Hey, Castellini: Bring Back Barry!

  • Remember back in the day when things weren’t going so well for the Reds and Barry would call team meetings and tell them to get it together? Seems like that type of leadership has been sorely lacking for years now.

Given Bowden’s reputation, does it concern anyone that a lot of former Reds like Larkin and Rijo work for him now?

Does it make you think more of Bowden (like he got an unfair reputation) or less of Larkin or Rijo?

I’m more concerned that the Reds organization hire quality personnel regardless of what franchise they have a history with.

jimb823, Larkin spends most of his time in Florida. He’s not around the Nats all that much.

GregD, I always assumed that Larkin affiliated himself with Bowden partly as a way to stick it to John Allen. I could be way off track, of course. Rijo, I have no idea.

There was a recent article about a Larkin visit with the D.C. players. I don’t remember if it was posted or not, but here’s the link: washingtonpost
