Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month — June 2007

Redleg Nation is pleased to announce our Minor League Players of the Month for June:

Hitter:

24 year old catcher Craig Tatum (3rd round – 2004) earned a promotion to AA Chattanooga with his play in June. For Sarasota in June, Craig hit .393/.449/.770 with 2 doubles and 7 home runs. He also scored 13 runs and knocked in 16.

Pitcher:

21 year old RHP Johnny Cueto (out of the Reds Baseball Academy in the Dominican Republic) threw 23 2/3 innings at Sarasota, striking out 30 hitters and allowing a .198 batting average. His WHIP at Dayton for the month was .89. After being promoted to Chattanooga, he threw 6 innings, striking out 6, allowing a .227 average and a WHIP of 1.16.
