I’m on the interstate and I see that no one posted a game thread. Sorry about that.

Better late than never!

It ain’t pretty but so far Bronson has been effective.

  • I just got home from the Dragons game (they lost 4-0), was forced to listen to Brantley do play by play…brutal. He’s just horrible, doesn’t know his left from his right, actually said, “line drive…I mean pop to right field”…he’s just horrible at P-B-P.

Griffey with a 2 HR day so far. What a treat for the Seattle fans especially to see him pass McGwire.

    Just don’t blow it, Bronson!

Ugh, suicide squeeze. How could you have not seen that coming?

Kudos to Bronson for getting out of the tough jam. He kept his composure and made the pitches he needed to. Still though, Reds are now down, 3-2. It would be nice for the Reds to win this series. We shall see.

The worst news out of this one is Edwin. He got hit hard on his right elbow by a pitch and had to leave the game. Yay for more Castro.

You would not know that Marty is an employee of the Reds. Sometimes he can’t find a good thing to say. I know the boys aren’t playing well, but my goodness, negative, negative, negative, one after another.

Really not a bad game overall. Just a lousy outcome. It would have been nice if someone had been aboard for Griffey’s HRs but that’s the way it goes.

In other, sad news, Rod Beck, former MLB closer, was found dead at 38.

I guess the Reds used up the weekend’s worth of runs scored on the first night.
