Harang on the mound vs Paul Byrd
Glad to see Harang back on the mound I just hope he’s in the right mindset and I don’t expect that will be a problem.
After watching that I’ll be the first to sign the Fire Jerry Morron petition. Running there was a bit of a risk with the hottest hitter on the team and Dunn following, idiotic
The manager is much less relevant in baseball compared to football and basketball. The Reds just aren’t as talented as the other teams. The Reds have had a terrible farm system until recently – that’s the genesis of what we see today.
Narron will be here until at least season end and most likely into next season based on one simple fact: Krivsky knows that once Narron is fired, he will be the next to go if the team doesn’t start winning. Keeping Narron buys Krivsky more time.
I see Narron and his brother finishing the season mainly because they were instrumental in getting Hamilton to the Reds. Then Castellini makes big changes wheather Kriv likes it or not.

Heard that former Red, Ryan Dempster, is going back to starting with the Cubs. Anyone remember how terrible he was starting for the Reds?
Dumpster loses closers role. Brilliant. Cubs that is brilliant. Good luck Cubbies good luck.
Harang hasn’t been great, though his record is good. Let’s hope he has a great start today.
I hadn’t heard that about Dempster. Best news of the day. He was terrible for the Reds in the starter’s role.
Hopper second? Castro and Moeller in there?
Narron must not think his job is in jeopardy, or he wouldn’t keep sending out less than his best lineup.
Doesn’t Paul Byrd usually kill the REds?
Freel grounds out. One away.
Hopper hacks at the first pitch. Grounder to second. Two away.
A little patience early in this game would be nice. No reason to let Byrd off the hook easy every inning.
Not much of a top of the first there. Hope Harang has his good stuff today.
Find it amazing that Byrd hasn’t walked a batter in 103 plate appearances now. That’s a hell of a streak
Yeah, that’s good control.
Pronk.
wow Dunn screwed that one up.
Yes, he did.
Great play by Harang.
good inning by Harang after giving up the double. Looks like he has his good stuff today. Hope that isn’t a jinx
Out of that jam
BP loves playing against his old team!
Another homer, and his 22nd consecutive game with a hit!
Think Phillips is motivated by playing against the Tribe?
Hitting Streak continued!!!!
can Phillips play everyday like he plays against the Tribe. 22 in a row and a 1-0 lead.
I’m amazed that Phillips’s current hitting streak is the third longest such streak in Reds history. That’s insane.
Wow, Hatteberg hit that ball very hard. Almost another homer.
2nd and 3rd. Hattieburg up……Byrd normally does well against the reds.
well Castro got it out of the infield have to admit that’s better than I expected
Couple of early runs. That’s a good sign.
2 runs early keep it going boys
Yeah, but can Harang throw a complete game?
Got to love it. Moeller must like having a job. Harang likes pitching to him I think.
He pitched 9 against Padres
2 innings down.
Freel singled.
Hopper sac Freel over to second. a little small ball that is good to see.
Base running blunder by Freel. great. Griffey out on strikes.
Inning over already.
need a K here
bad inning by harang. a bit wild. perhaps he is still distracted.
This team is disgusting.

I agree Tom. Narron finishes the season with the Reds but I think his chances of returning next year are pretty bleak.
