Louisville 4 – Syracuse 3

Joey Votto was 3 for 4 with a HR, he is now hitting .256 BA/.389 OBP/.427 SLG/.816 OPS. Thirty year old Mike Edwards went 2 for 3.

Homer Bailey got the start and was a bit on the wild side walking 4 in 5.3 IP. He also gave up 6H, 3 ER, and struck out 6. He did factor into the decision and the outing raised his ERA to 2.27. Marcus McBeth got his 3rd save pitching a scoreless 9th, although he did give up a hit and a BB, while striking out one batter.

AA

Tennessee 10 – Chattanooga 3

Paul Janish was 2 for 2 with a 2B and 3 BBs. Drew Anderson was 2 for 4 with a BB. Tyrell Godwin was 2 for 5.

Justin Mallett started and got pounded. He gave up 9 H, 2 BB, and 10 ER over 2 IP. Ty Pelland pitched 3 scoreless innings of relief giving up one hit and striking out 5.

High A

Sarasota 7 – Jupiter 6

Adam Rosales was 3 for 3 with a 3B and 2 2B. He is sporting a .928 OPS. Jay Bruce was 1 for 2 with 2 BBs, his OPS stands at 1.019.

22 year old Logan Ondrusek got the start and win throwing 5.6 IP giving up 5 H, a BB, and 1 ER. He struck out 3 and his ERA for the year is 1.89. Josh Roenicke threw a scoreless ninth for his 12th save.

A

Fort Wayne 1 – Dayton 0

Drew Stubbs was 1 for 3 with a BB. Denis Phipps was 1 for 3 with a 2B.

21 year old Jordan Smith was a hard luck loser. He pitched 7 innings giving up just 4 H, a BB, a R, and struck out 3.
