Alex Gonzalez’s big night

Alex Gonzalez, as you know, had an incredible night last night in St. Louis, smacking two homers, in addition to a double, and driving in five. That’s good news for the Reds, of course.

However, I’m happier with the news that Gonzalez’s 7-month old son appears to be getting better. You will remember that Gonzalez left the team briefly last week to return home because of the situation.

I have a young son, so I can imagine what our shortstop was going through. I’m very glad that things are looking up for him, on all fronts.

I am happy to hear that Alex’s son is improving and that he is transforming the anxious energy that he has over him into good energy on the field. Baseball is a good distraction for him for the 3 or 4 hours it provides him.
