Update on My Least Favorite Red
I really, really, didn’t enjoy this guy’s tenure with the Reds, at least the last couple years of it. Looks like he’s on to bigger and better things. (Link courtesy of Josh Katzowitz and Rosecrans)

Oh goodness, my least favorite Red of all time makes a return to Redleg Nation. At least Chris didn’t mention his name…
And then Cary mentions another player from my Top 5 least favorite Reds list. This morning isn’t turning out very well.
Actually, neither of these guys is still blowing games for Cincinnati, so things aren’t all that bad today. (No, other relievers are blowing games for the Reds these days.)

Is there a minimum playing time requirement to make the “least favorite Red list”? My nomination for top of the list.

I have no recollection of that guy whatsoever.
This guy came to mind last night, for some reason (in terms of Lohse, Belisle, and Milton being upgrades to the back half of the rotation).

I honestly can’t believe that dude only pitched in 8 games for the Reds. He looms in my memory as a much larger figure (pun not intended).

The list of least favorite pitchers is a long one.
CesarH was a defensive specialist who would come in for Kevin Mitchell but was terrible at defense (at least in his few major league chances.) I mean completely miss fly balls bad. Hit like Castro, fielded like FeLo, and would come in during the 8th/9th inning to replace the team’s best hitter.
In the game I remember most vividly, Hernandez’s 9th inning flyball error would have been the 3rd out of the inning and ended the game. It also cost Rob Dibble 5 weeks of the season, since it was a play on the very next batter that Dibble hurt his arm in a collision at home plate.

The game I was referencing.

Yeah, JimmyA was a bad one. At risk of saying his name and prompting Krivsky to sign him, Steve Avery was another pitcher who killed me when he was with the Reds.
And I remember that Hernandez error. Brutal.

“The Lake Mary, Florida resident has compiled 43 victories and a career 4.05 ERA in 508 appearances, all but 30 of them in relief.”
Who remembers that debacle? Ugh, Bob Boone.

[...] Thanks to RedLegNation for the tip. (Strangely, Graves is that blog’s least favorite Red … huh.) [...]
