25 year-old starting pitcher,Phil Dumatrait (Red Sox #1 – 2000) tossed 5.1 innings, giving up 0 ER, 2 BB, and 2 H, while recording 5 Ks.

23 year-old first baseman Joey “Get out of my way Hatteberg” Votto (Reds #2 – 2002) went 2 for 5. The Canadian Votto became a DOTF favorite last year when he hit .319/.408/.547 at Chattanooga.

32 year-old second baseman Mark Bellhorn (A’s #2 – 1995) went 2 for 5 with a HR and 4 RBI. Last year, in 253 ABs, Bellhorn hit .190/.285/.396.

24 year-old second baseman Drew Anderson (Reds #13 – 2004) went 2 for 4 in the loss.

The Reds bullpen of 22 year-old Logan Ondrusek (Houston #36 – 2003), 26 year-old converted outfielder Eric Rick Asadoorian (Red Sox #1 – 1999), 23 year-old Robert Manuel, who came from the Mets in the Dave Williams trade, and 23 year-old Joshua Roenicke (Reds #10 – 2006) held Fort Myers for 7.2 innings with only 2 hits and no runs.

Roenicke recorded his 2nd save with 2 Ks in the 12th. Roenicke, who struck out 24 in 15 innings at Billings last year, has 4 strikeouts this year in just 2 innings.
