Adam Dunn’s good spring

Fairly standard article by Josh Katzowitz in today’s Post about Adam Dunn and the good spring that he’s experienced. Dunn gives lots of credit to Brook Jacoby, but we’ll see if Dunn has really improved once the games begin next week.

For what it’s worth, in the picture associated with the article, Dunn does look like he is in better physical shape.

Dunn hit his 5th HR of the spring on Wed. Two of them to LF, two more to CF, and one to RF. Could be a long year for opposing pitchers is he keeps that up.

Notably, Dunn has hit even better than Hamilton in almost every category for the spring … with one exception being, bizarrely enough, walks.

It’s only 50 AB’s, but it is also notable that his spring projects to a full season with 220 H, 77 R, 11 2B, 55 HR, 143 RBI, 66 BB, and 143 SO. Probably just the small sample size, but a big change otherwise.
