Phil Dumatrait got the start and went the first two innings in a 7-3 Phoenix win over Scottsdale. Dumatrait threw 41 pitches over those two innings, 25 for strikes. Dumatrait gave up three hits, a BB, hit a batter, and struck out one in those two innings giving up only one run. Cody Strait played LF and was 1 for 5 with a single and a run scored. He fanned three times.

    side note – just saw that the padres released scott williamson. he could be an interesting guy to bring into camp if it wasn’t too expensive.
