AAA
Louisville and Buffalo were suspended after 3 innings with Louisville ahead 5 to 3.
AA
West Tennessee 5, Chattanooga 0
The West Tennessee pitching staff absolutely shut down the Lookouts bats. Chattanooga was only able to record two hits on the night.
Homer Bailey took to the mound and got a no decision. Bailey went 6 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 8. His ERA with Chattanooga is now 0.74 in 36.2 innings pitched. He is still 4-0 and has allowed 22 hits, 8 walks, and struck out 39.
High A
Paul Janish went 3-5 with a homerun, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in. He also stole his 4th base of the year. On the season, Janish is batting .268/.343/.404 with Sarasota.
Low A
No one did much offensively for the Dragons last night. Starting pitcher Daniel Guerrero went 5 innings, allowing 9 hits, 2 runs, and struck out 3. He is now 1-3 on the year with a 5.24 ERA.
Rookie Leagues
The Mustangs scored runs in the first 5 innings en route to a 2 run victory. Chris Heisey had a big game going 3-4 on the night with a 3 run homer, 2 singles, and 4 runs driven in. Justin Turner added on 2 hits of his own by going 2-4 with a double and 2 runs scored.
Enmanuel Cabrera and Angel Cabrera each had a 2-hit night for the Reds. The two Cabreras are now hitting .306 and .286 respectively. Rightfielder Kevyn Feiner drove the 2 Reds runs in in the 6th on his lone hit, a single.

Dayton also finished the suspended game from Wednesday night, winning 13-1. Jay Bruce and Bobby Mosby both went 4-5 with 2 doubles, driving in 3 runs.
2006 draftee Derrik Lutz made his first appearances for the Dragons, going 3 innings (relieving starter Carlos Fisher), allowing a run on 2 hits, striking out 4. Kevin Haltiwanger threw the last 3 innigs for the save.
Those were 6 shutout innings by Bailey, of course, to get the no-decision. Apparently it was somewhat of an adventure last night in that Chattanooga game, someone at Red Reporter posted a diary about it – throwing at batters, etc.
odds on a bailey promotion this weekend?
I’d give 150:1 odds on a Bailey MLB promotion now, and, oh, a 50:1 shot (right now) on him getting to the big leagues at any time this year.
i meant to AAA since it’s been decided that germano is coming up this weekend for the reds.
Hmmm. To AAA? I’d say, uh, 20:1 this weekend. But if not this weekend, I’d say the odds of him pitching in Louisville this year will be more like 75:1.
PSA: Don’t bet with DA, he’ll get his money out of you one way or another.
I don’t know if Krivsky/Almarez wants to use AAA as a place for top prospects to go. It seems to be more of a AAAA haven that we pluck from when someone is injured.
I don’t know, EdE played at Louisville as did Denorfia, and now Dumatrait and Germano. I think the sorry state of our AAA team has more to do with the sorry state of our farm system the last few years than anything else.
Plus haven’t they gone on and on about how they don’t want people skipping levels?
Also, if DA wants to give me those 75:1 odds, i’m game, ominous warnings be damned.
No room at AAA for Bailey, have to use that roster spot on Joe Mays.
