Drew Stubbs signs

First-round draft pick Drew Stubbs has signed on the dotted line:

The Cincinnati Reds tonight signed top draft pick OF Drew Stubbs. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 6-3, 210-pound junior from the University of Texas was selected by the Reds with the eighth pick overall in the first round of last week’s Major League Baseball first-year player draft. He will report immediately to the club’s rookie league team in Billings.

Good news.  We’ll be monitoring Stubbs’ progress at Billings for you.
