GAB sleepover

This is awesome:

For the first time in Dodger Stadium history, fans and their family can sleep on the outfield grass. The inaugural Dodger Stadium sleepover will be on Sunday, July 9 following the game against Giants. For $300 per person ($250 for full season ticket holders) fans will get field level seats to Sunday night’s game, dinner at the new Loge Terrace compliments of Outback Steakhouse, a Dodger pillow, commemorative t-shirt, late evening movie on DodgerVision and other on-field activities.

If the Reds did something like that, I would definitely do it…well, at least, I would if my kids were older (like Jon at Dodger Thoughts said). Wouldn’t that be a fun evening with the kids?

Sounds kind of “steep” to sleep on the field.

Some other team(s) did this before – Milwaukee? Or maybe Phoenix or Denver?

  • I read about this somewhere else a couple of years ago…maybe Fenway Park?

I remember the White Sox doing this a few years ago as well.

San Francisco was the first, I believe. I pointed this out to John Allen a couple of years ago, but it obviously hasn’t gone anywhere. The Reds might just be too conservative (insurance risk, y’know).
