Ken Griffey will not be returning from the disabled list today, as we’d been told he would. So sayeth Lancaster. In other news, water is still wet, the sun rises in the east, and my dog still won’t stop chewing on that rawhide bone.
Am I the only one that just is “tired” of this time after time after time? It’s nothing….then he goes on the DL. He’ll be coming off Friday (though I don’t believe that was ever “officially” said), then he isn’t.
Im not really worried about it anymore. We aren’t a team anymore that if one man goes down we are done for a.k.a the Pirates, having Griffey in the linuep is almost a luxury anymore, an added bonus. A pretty expensive added bonus, but other than him belting a few homers and helping Dunn at the plate he really doesn’t make this team that much better!
The team doesn’t need Griffey in the lineup as much as it once did. He definately makes the team better, but he’s more of a cog in the wheel now. Before, he was the wheel.

It just wears on me..
No, you aren’t the only one, Bill. It’s the same thing every time.

yeah, like this wasn’t totally predictable.
And Narron wondered why no one believed them when he said Griffey would just be out a few days.
Why handle it this way? Gives no strategic advantage over the other team.

Have the Reds been operating on a 24-man roster since the Womack release?
No, they received Cody Ross in a trade with the Dodgers on the same day they cut Womack, and Ross is on the 25-man roster.
