AAA
Some guy that’s older than me (he is 35), Chris Michalak, pitched 6 solid innings giving up 3 hits, 2 BB, and no ER. He struck out 5. 23 year-old Ryan Wagner gave up 3 hits and 1 ER in an inning of work. He did strike out 3.
AA
The Lookouts received some more solid starting pitching as 26- year old Edward Valdez pitched 5 innings allowing only 1 h and 1 BB. He struck out 4. Valdez is repeating at AA, where last year he went 1-3 with a 6.94 ERA in 12 games.
High A
Quinton McCracken proved his about ready to help out the Reds with an 0-4 performance. “DOTF” Poster Boy Adam Rosales hit his second double of the year and added a BB and 2 R. 22 year-old Adam is right where he left off last season hitting .333/.429/.611.
23 year-old, 2003 12th round draft pick, Jim Paduch pitched 6 shakey innings giving up 7 hits and only striking out 2. However he was able to hold Clearwater to just one earned run. Jim is repeating at Sarasota where last year he posted a 3.81 ERA with only 66 strikeouts in 104 innings.
Well I am trying to find something bright…..look away, there is nothing to see here.

I’m waiting for Satchel Paige to show up pitching for Louisville next.
I believe that Michalak is keep the rotation spot warm for Jung Bong, if he can ever stay healthy. Bong is on the DL, and still only 25 years old.
Louisville has a young rotation, but I don’t see how they’re going to score any runs down there. Other than Stratton, is there anyone who has ever hit?
Looking at “the big board” Denorfia, Buchanan, Cruz, and Sanchez should all be able to hit AAA pitching. Bannon can’t take a walk, but has good pop for a MI. Gutierrez had an OPS in excess of 800 the past couple of seasons in AA. And Earl Snyder has spent the past 4 seasons playing in the IL with a .264/323/503 line.
BTW – I really like the “big board”. Thank you so much for that added feature!
