Reds Spring Training Report

In today’s Grapefruit League action, the Reds upended the Yankees 4-1. Edwin Encarnacion is definately making his case for the starting thirdbase position. After yesterday’s two homer game, Edwin added yet another homerun today along with a single and 3 runs batted in.

Dave Williams was the only Reds pitcher to have any difficulty today. Williams threw two innings, surrendering the lone Yankees run on 5 hits allowed. Aaron Harang, Mike Burns, Allan Simpson, Jake Robbins, and Ryan Wagner combined to pitch very well. Harang threw two innings of shutout ball, allowing 2 hits. Burns, Simpson, Robbins, and Wagner combined for 5 innings of 2 hit, 4 walk, shutout baseball.
