Online chat with Krivsky

JD has the highlights of an online chat with GM Wayne Krivsky, including the information that Homer Bailey will start the season in Sarasota.

Our resident Dayton Dragons season-ticket-holder, Bill, would love to see him in Dayton, no doubt. I just want to see him in Cincinnati in a couple of years.

Another interesting point was that in naming candidates for the 2b job, Krivsky included Frank Menechino, along with the ususal suspects (Freel, Aurilia, Womack).

  • I saw Homer last year. I’d much rather see players for only one year in Dayton (or less) and have them on their way to helping the big club…I’m looking forward to see Jay Bruce this year.

You might get Travis Wood, if he doesn’t skip that level. I don’t think the Reds do a lot of skipping, though.

  • We had Wood at the very end of last year, I believe, but I didn’t get the chance to see him. I’m looking forward to seeing Wood and some of the other pitchers from last year’s draft that showed some promise.
