Danny Graves designated for assignment

The Mets just designated Danny Graves for assignment. I look forward to the articles about how the Mets are a dysfunctional franchise. As we know, it’s never Danny’s fault.

I’m sure an ERA of nearly 6 runs a game had nothing to do with the Mets decision.

Next stop for the Gravy Train: Tampa Bay.

But wait! just like the Reds, the Mets are not giving Abu Graves a chance!
Danny Graves may have to face the fact that he’s not the pitcher he once was. There’s not much market out there for a relief pitcher with an ERA slightly under 7, especially on a team that sees itself in a race for a playoff spot.
Now, having said all that. Don’t be suprised to see Danny in Reds camp next spring.
