Yesterday’s game

Sigh.

Mowed down by a 22-year-old making his second big league start. Here are the game stories from the Enquirer, the Post, and the official site.

At some point, it has to be time to put Eric Milton and Ramon Ortiz in the bullpen. This team might be fighting for a wild card spot if it weren’t for Milton and Ortiz.

Okay, maybe that’s pushing it, but those two are the two biggest problems with this team thus far in this season.

  • The Reds do seem to have unusual problems with young lefties especially. Also old lefties.

The unfortunate thing is Milton and Ortiz are taking up roster spots that could be used by our young pitchers.

Speaking of which, how is O’Brien going to handle the Serrano issue?

If the powers that be can’t get Milton and Ortiz out of the starting rotation, then please, take them out by the 5th. or 6th. inning because by then, or sooner, they usually implode!

Actually, the Reds hit LH pitching a little better than RH.
